Wareham to join Bangalore
TALENTED Mortlake cricket export Georgia Wareham has been picked up by Women’s Premier League (WPL) side, Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Next year’s WPL will feature five clubs – Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore and UP Warriorz.
All five teams completed their 18-member squad last weekend, with Australian star Annabel Sutherland one of the most expensive players in the auction and will play for Delhi Capitals.
Leg-spinner Wareham, was the second Australian bought during the early stages of the WPL auction on Saturday, going to the Royal Challengers for 40 lakh (just short of $73,000 Australian).
Wareham was released by Gujarat prior to the auction.
She will be joined in the squad next season by Victorian team-mate Sophie Molineux who was secured with the last buy of the auction.
Australia’s 16-player squad will leave for India this week for its multi-format tour beginning with a Test match at Mumbai’s famous Wankhede Stadium next Thursday, December 21.
