A NIGHT of constant rain made conditions tough for round five of the Hockey South West under 16 full-field competition last week.

A NIGHT of constant rain made conditions tough for round five of the Hockey South West under 16 full-field competition last week.
It was a true hockey night with rain, rain and more rain.
Both Corangamite teams showed lots of grit and determination to play their best game regardless of the weather.
After a strong start Craters lost 6-2 to Technique. With no players on the bench everyone certainly worked hard.
Best for Craters were Sigmund, Anwyn and Ned.
Lakers were unlucky to miss a few hard-fought shots at goal and went down 2 - 0 to Mariners Hockey Club.
Best for Lakers were Akeisha, Oliver and Reagan.
Thanks to the shadow umpires Seth and Taliyah. This was a great opportunity to learn more about hockey.
In round five of the modified competition, Blue defeated Purple 3-1. Goals were scored by Annabelle, Noah, Amber and Grace.
Umpires best players were Noah, Amber, Sophie, Millie, Oliver and Luca.
White defeated Green 6-1. Goals were scored by Zoe, Jacob, Anastasia and Maya.
Umpires best players were Henry, William, Maya, Zoe, Alexis and Macey.
All children had an opportunity to try to get past the goalie too. Thanks to Thomas, they all loved it.
