This Week in Mortlake culminated with the club fours and presentation afternoon last Saturday week.
In the club fours, eight teams were playing for their name in gold letters and that in itself was great to see.
There were two sections of four teams and the winner of each played off in the grand final.
For the top half, the team of Scott Pierce, Justin Rasmussen, Marj Whitson and Harmony Rasmussen got through with two wins, 66 points.
The team of Darren Grant, Colin Goldsworthy, Clyde and Sandra Richie just missed out with two wins and 64 points.
In the bottom half of the draw, there were two teams with two wins, 62 points each and both teams +2 shots for the day - Ian MacDonald, Jim Wallace, Gert MacDonald and Rita Pasque and the team of Dave McNicoll, Colin Inverarity, Peter Palmer and Thelma Inverarity.
Both had a one end shootout to determine who would play in the final.
Dave's team won the shootout and the club fours final began.
The final was action-packed with numbers from both sides being thrown either way but when it came to the last end, the score was 12-9 in Scott's favour.
Dave's team had to score a three to force an extra end but could only managed two.
Congratulations to the club fours champions Scott Pierce (s), Justin Rasmussen, Marj Whitson and Harmony Rasmussen.
Well done to the runners-up Dave McNicoll (s), Colin Inverarity, Peter Palmer and Thelma Inverarity.
