WILD weather lashed much of the state late last week, bringing with it widespread flooding.

While the south of Corangamite Shire was not as heavily impacted as some areas, it was not unscathed.

On October 13 and 14 a whopping 70mm of rain fell over Camperdown in 48 hours.

Derrinallum and Lismore received 69.6mm and 59.6mm respectively for the same period.

Skipton received 65mm over the 48hour period.

The heavy rainfall led to multiple road closures across the north of the shire.

Local SES volunteers were called to a number of incidents across the area, including helping out at Skipton which saw significant flooding.

Heavy rain is again predicted over the coming week.
