Win for Rix at Cobden

FIFTEEN players contested a stableford competition at the Cobden golf course last Saturday.

S. Rix won A grade with 37 points, followed by A. Giles on 33.

Balls down the line went to A. Stevens, G. Byrne and T. Gardner.

Nearest the pin on the 4th was C. Sargeant, 7th D. Bath, 10th S. Rix.

Rix was also closest second on the 14th.

This weekend will be the monthly medal and putting (stroke).

In fine but windy conditions, 11 golfers enjoyed a round of foursomes at the Cobden course on Wednesday.

The winners were Sherine Healey and Marie Smith on 73.5 points, followed by Di Adams and Laurel Davis on 80.5.

Nearest the pin: 4th and 7thSherine Healey and Marie Smith, and 10th Pat Tickner and Ev Boyd.

Balls down the line also went to Pat and Ev.
