Windy conditions for golf

FIFTEEN players competed in last Thursday’s stableford competition at the Terang Golf Club.

The course is holding up well despite recent destructive windy conditions.

The ladies’ winner was Margie Driscoll with 39 points while Jane Heffernan was runner-up with 31 points.

The men’s winner was Colin Venn with 32 points, followed by Terry Beasley on 31.

Balls down the line went to Elaine Hrabar 29, Paddy O’Connor 28 and Karen Mather 28 on countback from Jo Arundell 28.

Nearest the pins: 11th Margie Driscoll and 18th from off the green was Cate Glennon.
