Winter tournament
MORTLAKE Golf Club Winter tournament was played on Wednesday, August 7, with both men’s and women’s teams winning by three points.
Mens winners were Peter West (37), Kevin Etherton (10) with a total score of 46 points from runners-up Tony McLennan (33), John Palmer (35) with 43 points.
Deb Norton (17), Steph Delaney (31) with 37 Points took out the women’s from runners-up Glenda Clarke (8), Anne Maree Bushell (45) with a total of 34 Points.
Nearest the Pins: 3/12, Glenda Clarke; 6/15, Kevin Etherton; 9/18, Glenda Clarke.
Balls Down the Line: Merv Hampson, Ian Jubb, Richard van Diemen, Steve Hubbard, Les Dawson and Andy Lamont.
Last Saturday Wes Wareham won the stroke event at the Mortlake golf.
He finished with a score of 17-85-68, on a countback from runner-up Garry Shalders with 9-77-68.

The three person Ambrose played last Sunday saw Craig Fowler, Todd Lamont and Ryan Tanner take the win with 8-65-57.
Runners-up on 62/3-66-591/3 were Alistair Clarke, Scott Lum and Garry Shalders
