Winter Warmers was a success
LOCALS turned out in force to support the Cobden Retailers inaugural Winter Warmers event.
History: Local whiskey trail expert Alan Hart gave a talk on the local illicit whiskey trail as part of the Winter Warmers promotion in Cobden last week.
Spokesperson and Cobden Sewing Machines owner Helen Smith was pleased with how the event went.
She said 16 Cobden retail businesses participated in the three-day winter promotion, helping to draw shoppers to local businesses.
“The promotion was a success,” Mrs Smith said.
“Everyone was quite happy with how it went and the businesses involved seemed pleased.
“We hope to do it again later.”
Each of the businesses donated a lucky shopper prizes, with winners notified earlier this week.
